Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour drummer Brian Frasier-Moore was recently interviewed at the NAMM 2010 conference. He was asked what his he had been up to lately, his reply:
“I just finished Madonna’s tour, I was out with her for a year and six months. Starting up with Christina (Aguilera) in February and then back to Madonna again at the top of 2011.”

“There is no truth to any current plans for an upcoming tour..”

“The time will come eventually but she’s about to start a movie.”

“M is gonna tour after her album which will be released very soon.”

International photographer Marcus Leatherdale called Andy Warhol and Robert Mapplethorpe friends, was a prominent member of New York’s arts scene in the 80s and one of the first photographers to shoot Madonna.

Madonna and Guy will own a 50 percent stake in the company while Iconix owns the other half.

”She’d probably be involved in design, photo shoots, everything,” says the CEO of Iconix.
Madonna stated in a release, “Joining forces with Iconix to bring my fashion ideas to consumers is very exciting for me.” She said she looks forward to working closely with Iconix “to create and translate my vision and ideas for MG Icon.”

Next fall, she’ll rolling out a juniors’ lifestyle collection for Macy’s, inspired by her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes. The line will start with apparel, footwear, handbags, and jewelry ranging in price from $12 to $40 and will hit stores in time for back-to-school.

Lourdes is heavily involved in the line, and goes to design meetings with Macy’s executives, such as chief merchandising officer Jeff Gennette. “Lourdes has an incredible sense of style,” he told WWD.
No details on what the line will actually look like have been provided.

This year’s event after Sunday’s Academy Awards was the party hosted by Madonna and Demi Moore which happened at Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary’s L.A. home.

According to People Style Watch, there was lots of dancing, a late-night Indian food, a special drink created by Demi Moore: the Vita Coco Caipirinha, and tons of A-Listers including Ashton Kutcher, P. Diddy, Anderson Cooper, Renée Zellweger, Bradley Cooper, Jack Nicholson, Woody Harrelson, Kate Walsh, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Taylor Lautner, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Renner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gerard Butler and more.

“I was a fan. She made her first concert in Paris in 1987 or 1988, and there was a party after. I was intimidé, but she was first to arrive, waiting for everybody. She was like this always for 10 years, always on time but now… boof, finished! She is the last one.
Alors, she was super-cute, so I said to ’er, ‘I would love to do something super-special for you.’ She was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, okay.’ Then, two days before my show, I receive a phone call. They tell me it’s Madonna, but I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, okay, whatever.’ I don’t believe it’s possible. But the next day I ask if it’s true, and there is a number and I call and she answers and tells me to come to New York and we prepare for the tour.”

He also recalls…
“I went to a club with her and all the good-looking boys were looking, but not recognizing her. She was so famous, they couldn’t imagine she would be there, so they were cruising her.”

During the interview, he talked about his most hilarious Madonna memory related to her wedding to Guy Ritchie…

“He wore a kilt with nothing under,”
- How do you know?
“I ask him, ‘It’s true?’ He say, ‘You see!’ “, miming Ritchie whipping up his skirt.
- And was it…?
“Well, I understood Madonna! Hahaha! “

The designer also gave an interview to French magazine Paris-Match and when he’s asked if he’d rather be reincarnated in Catherine Deneuve or Madonna.

He answered…
“Catherine Deneuve… during her Like a Virgin era!”

She is starting her own agency called Liz Rosenberg Media.
Rosenberg’s new venture will represent Madonna, who left Warner for Live Nation in 2007. In a press release she stated…

”No one has had a more thrilling ride than I have had during my decades at Warner Bros. Records where I grew up and learned my craft. I was given the opportunity to work with the most talented artists in music history. I’m grateful that I will continue to represent some of these artists, in addition to several new artists.”

“People do not respect music anymore… They go by what’s hot… If you’re hot, you deserve 4 or 5 Grammys…
Madonna is a genius and she only has 2 or 3 Grammys… What is that about?”

US singer Leona Lewis told Britain’s OK! Magazine her love for Madonna…

”I have always loved Madonna. I was too young for her Sex book period, but then when I saw it I thought, ‘Wow!’
Good for her, if that’s how she wanted to express herself.
Would I express myself like that?
Well, you never know…”

“I think my style icons are people that reinvent themselves—they come back with a different look, a different vibe, a different sound and Madonna is definitely one of those people. It’s just amazing to watch her through all these decades—she just keeps coming back.”

She also opined that the current trend of flashy accessories and shock-worthy outfits were all due to Lady Gaga.
”She’s definitely a big style icon for everyone, and it’s made everyone go a bit more edgy with their fashion.”

Simon Cowell knows what it takes to be an American Idol judge, and he says Madonna isn’t the right choice to replace him next season.
He labeled Madonna a pipe dream, said gossip blogger Perez Hilton might be a good fit and talked about Lady Gaga being the most relevant pop artist in the world right now..
Talking about the time commitment. Cowell said he doesn’t think a big name like Madonna could manage that.

Dita Von Teese is a style icon in her own right though anyone witnessing her with her latest arm candy, Dolce & Gabbana’s Miss Sicily bag (THE Miss Sicily that guest starred in THAT Madonna campaign), one could easily think she was channeling this year’s sultriest housewife. Even more so in the light of a recent interview with Australian newspaper the Sydney Morning Herald:

“I admire Madonna. She’s very hands-on with what she does. She doesn’t wait for someone else to tell her what’s in style; she gets into it. During her Evita phase, I noticed she started wearing 1940s moons painted the right way on her nails. Nobody knows that unless you’ve really done some research and noticed all those little details. A normal person would not notice those things. Psychos like me notice those things and I think Madonna is one of those people”.
