Madonna, the latest news - Is Revolver going to be released as the first single off Madonna’s Greatest Hits album?<br /> Nothing’s sure, plans for the video have been suspended and decisions are still being taken. All we can say for sure is that there will definitely be a new Madonna single for the summer. The song Celebrate which has a massive party anthem feel to it, could be chosen to be released first. Nothing seems final but the date, which has been set to June 30th, and the fact that there will be a bonus track rumored to be called I’m so cool.<br /> Also gay Magazine Attitude made a mistake revealing the name of three tracks which are really: Celebrate and Broken (I’m Sorry) and I’m so cool...<br /> Finally, as previously mentioned on AbMad, the Sticky & Sweet Tour 2009 will include setlist changes: Borderline is to be replaced with Dress you up, and Heartbeat might be replaced with a Holiday medley including a mix with new track Celebrate and some other classic surprises!

Madonna, the latest news - Mirwais gave an exclusive interview to French Gay Magazine, Têtu, to promote his new musical project called Arabology with Lebanese singer Yasmine...<br /> Of course, Madonna is all over the interview…<br /> Mirwais, after you worked with Madonna, people expected you to produce music for a huge US pop star…<br /> Mirwais: It’s not who I am. First of all, I didn’t seek Madonna, she came to me. The fact is she listened to my Production album, she loved Naïve Song and she wanted that I gave it to her for her own album. I refused, but I accepted to work with her, because there was no compromise in the work we were about to do. Also, once I collaborated with the Queen Bee, whatever came after that seemed a little boring! But many came to ask me to produce tracks from Depeche Mode to Jennifer Lopez. But I said no to all of them.<br /> You didn’t work on any of the tracks featured on the last Madonna album. Do you have any projects with her?<br /> Mirwais: We still have some tracks that we’re supposed to do together. Especially one that I really like, a very folkish song, but her last album had a more R&B sound. Also, I’ve worked on 3 of her albums, I’m the only producer she collaborated with that much. I think I’ve had my share… I'm also convinced that she's someone I can easily make a very good track with. Just like with Daniel (NDLR: Darc), Juliette (part of his ex-band, Mirwais et les Independants) or Yasmine today.<br /> Is Yas political?<br /> Mirwais: Not at all. I don't want any misinterpretations on the subject, even though I'm Afghan and Yasmin is Lebanese! I’m well aware of the fact that people are going to expect that we make some kind of political statements, especially about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict... I already experienced these kinds of situations. In 2003, when I wrote American Life with Madonna, it was around the time of the war in Iraq, and very few people supported her, especially in the press or in Hollywood…<br /> Have you tried to make Madonna sing in Arab?<br /> Mirwais: No, but I could have. We stopped working together the moment I started working on the project with Yasmine. There were some Hebrew words on Confessions on a Dancefloor, but you know, Madonna's thing is more Kaballah than the Arabic language! It’s a white, black, gay, straight crowd, aged between 15 and 60. It’s no good making it too underground. Despite the big venues it’ll still be clubby and I’ll get the crowd going. Madonna, all the latest news - Some new controversy around the price tickets for Madonna’s shows in France …<br /> From next week, discounted Sticky & Sweet Tour tickets will be on sale for both July 19th show at the Vélodrome in Marseille and July 9th show at the Palais Omnisport de Paris Bercy.<br /> On June 4th, those limited numbered tickets will go on sale. The tickets for Paris will be in Categorie 2, priced at 65 € and those for the concert in Marseille will be in Tribune Ganay, priced at 40 €.<br /> Officially this is a nice gesture from Live Nation towards people who couldn’t afford those initially high priced tickets, but members of the french press suspects the fact only 29,000 tickets (on 60,000) have been sold yet, to be the real reason behind the whole story!

It’s a big week for Lady GaGa. Just Dance becomes only the fifth song to reach the 4 million mark in paid downloads. And her follow-up smash, Poker Face, tops the 3 million mark this week. Only two other female solo artists, Katy Perry and Rihanna, have had two songs top the 3 million mark. Lady GaGa's album The Fame logs its 14th week in the top 10 on The Billboard 200. Lady GaGa is so much in the Madonna mold in sound and style, it made me wonder: What was Madonna's last album to log 14 weeks in the top 10?<br /> The last Madonna album to log 14 or more weeks in the top 10 was Like A Prayer, which had 16 weeks in the top 10 in 1989. Madonna's album with the longest run in the top 10 was Like A Virgin, which held on for 33 weeks in 1984-‘85. Will Lady GaGa ever come close to equaling Madonna's accomplishments? Madonna, the latest news - DJ Paul Oakenfold gave a little interview to gay magazine Attitude.<br /> Madonna invited him into the studio to work on some new tracks for possible inclusion on her highly anticipated forthcoming Greatest Hits album.<br /> Paul said Madonna was highly professional, he learned a lot and that the new tracks are ‘lyrically classic Madonna with an edgy modern sound’.<br /> He told us the tracks were sitting right there next to him and he told us what they are called. He didn’t know which ones would be the Greatest Hits CD and didn’t know when it would be out, though he imagined the run up to Christmas ‘when most greatest hits come out’. Madonna News - Madonna personally answered a few emailed questions from Malawi's the Nation newspaper.<br /> Many people -- especially our Malawian friends – say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister. It's something I have been considering, but would only do, if I had the support of the Malawian people and the Government.<br /> It is a big priority for me to educate my son about the world, but always to stay connected to his Malawian culture. He has a big map of Africa in his room with lots of arrows pointing to Malawi.<br /> I believe in family. So, everything between us (Guy Ritchie) is very amicable ... we both agree that our children should always feel a deep connection with both their parents. We just took a picture at a party. No big deal, just clearing the air on that one.

Icon’s Q&A with Paul Oakenfold - Part 2 & 3 </p> <p>Q: Would you describe a typical day spent with Madonna in the studio?<br /> A: A typical day involved me going to the studio in the morning to make sure that everything was set up and ready for her when she would come in, finish the changes we had looked at the previous night and then we'd jump in to the new session with her in the afternoon. </p> <p>Q: How different is it to co-produce a Madonna song from remixing an existing one?<br /> A: It's a very different approach to producing from remixing. First and foremost, the artist is with you in the studio when you are producing and it's a direct creative process with the artist. Lady Gaga 'Humbled' By Madonna Coming to her Show<br /> If you think that Lady Gaga has gotten used to being a pop superstar, think again. No one was as surprised as the New York City native herself to see that the Queen of Pop, Madonna, took some time out of her busy schedule to catch the 'Poker Face' singer's show at New York's Terminal 5 on Saturday.<br /> 'I was very humbled that Madonna came to the show,' Gaga told MTV News on Monday. 'And I had been hearing all week that she was going to come, and I was like, 'Oh, OK,' and I didn't want to talk about it or tell anyone 'cause I thought it was kind that she would want to come at all.'<br /> What made it even more surprising for Gaga was that she didn't think Madonna had any idea who she was, despite her hit songs and performance on 'American Idol' earlier this season. But what really pleased the singer was seeing that Madge made her concert a family night.<br /> 'I was really excited to see that [Madonna's daughter] Lourdes was there, and that made me really happy 'cause during the show I noticed some beautiful spirit of a girl dancing,' she recalled. James Kambewa, believed to be the biological father of Chifundo Mercy James, said he doesn't want the pop star to adopt the 4-year-old.<br /> I want to take care of her, and I'm capable to take care of my baby, he told CBS' The Early Show in an interview to be aired Monday. Mercy, she is a Malawian - so (I) need her to grow as a Malawian as well with our culture.<br /> Kambewa wears a necklace bearing his daughter's name but has never met her and says he has only seen her in newspapers and TV - not face to face.<br /> Madonna spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg said in an e-mail message Saturday she doesn't know if Kambewa is the father of the girl, who lives in an orphanage.<br /> All I know is that Mercy has been in an orphanage since the day she was born, Rosenberg said.<br /> Source: AP

According to Marc Jacobs and contrary to rumor, Jesus Luz won't appear in Louis Vuitton's fall 2009 ad campaign with Madonna. Reporters routinely hound Jacobs with questions about Madonna’s man candy. I don’t know why!” he said, laughing. “Why is everyone asking me about him? He’s not modeling for me. I don’t do menswear. Madonna, however, is, and Jacobs said they’d just been working together that day. “I think it was a great shoot,” he said. “She’s the ultimate professional and she and Steven are amazing. This is as brazen an example of photographic plagiarism - straight forward stealing - as you will ever see… I have had my work relentlessly copied for the past 40 years but this is outrageous!

Guy Oseary has been updating his Twitter page with some Madonna news. Madonna did shoot the Louis Vuitton campaign for their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection with Seven Meisel in NYC. The first images of the campaign should appear in August. On Thursday, she was back in the recording studio working on the new tracks for her upcoming greatest hits. In the meantime, William Orbit updated his Twitter with a new picture from a party he organized for Madonna, in 2001.

Paul took some time to answer a few questions regarding the new material and we're happy to share his answers to the first 2 questions today.<br /> Q: How did you come to work with Madonna on the new songs?<br /> A: I was approached by Guy Oseary to see if I was interested in working with Madonna in the studio.<br /> Q: Could you tell us more about the sound you have developed for them?<br /> A: I was looking for a cutting-edge sound with an old-school classic feel. Actor Hugh Jackman sympathized with Madonna's recent failed attempt to adopt a Malawian orphan girl, Mercy James… I challenge anyone who thinks you adopt a kid for a publicity stunt. Any parent knows that would have to be the most intensive publicity stunt in the world. I am sure she is coming from a good place. There are 130 million orphans in the world - who is looking after them? If you are a citizen of the world, on some level they are all our responsibility. And if you have got parents who want to adopt and there are children who need a home, it seems like a no-brainer. Jackman says he understood the problems Madonna faced in her failed attempt to adopt a second child from Malawi after he and his wife went through similar angst in Australia. Source : TVNZ.
