2010 for Madonna - Music, Movies, Fashion, TV appearances and performances. 2010 is about to be a very busy year for Madonna…

Music: Madonna will be back in the studio to start recording the new album in a few months from now. David Guetta and Brendan O’Brien are definitely potential collaborators. They are already working on some tryouts to shift Madonna. Fernando Garibay (U2, Beck, Sting, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, les Pussycat Dolls, P. Diddy, Will I am…) also revealed he just finished one of his biggest records ever: a dance floor anthem that Madonna could be interested in. French DJ Mehdi and A-Track have also been contacted to work on the album…

Movies: Madonna just finished a script for a film that she will direct next year. Its working title is W.E, and it’s about two love stories intertwined together. One is about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and the other is a fictional story of a woman searching for love.

TV appearances and performances: Madonna is in talk to open the next Grammy Awards ceremony (January 31, 2010) and a few performances planned for the beginning of the New Year!

Fashion: The year will begin with Dolce & Gabbana new collection with Madonna. We’ve seen 3 fantastic pictures, but the upcoming glasses shoot will be a bit racier, almost homage to her vogue era!

Madonna’s greatest hits album Celebration is the 35th Best-selling album Worldwide in 2009, with 1.4 million copies sold. Madonna’s greatest hits album “Celebration” is the 35th Best-selling album Worldwide in 2009, with 1.4 million copies sold.

Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed a Dream” is topping the album charts with 6.2 million copies, followed by Lady Gaga’s “Monster” (5.8 million copies) and The Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D” (4.6 million copies).
Sadly, Michael Jackson is the big winner of 2009, with 8 albums charted and 21 million copies sold!

“Celebration”, the single is also the 37th Most Successful Single of 2009 worldwide with 2.484.000 points…

Madonna has been named as the most written about celebrity of the past decade in Britain. Madonna has been named as the most written about celebrity of the past decade in Britain. She has been mentioned in a staggering 45,633 UK national newspaper articles.

During the last decade, the singer has had one son, Rocco, married director Guy Ritchie and divorced him, as well as adopting two children, David and Mercy, from Malawi.

Alex Ayling from the TV channel Live, which carried out the survey, said: “Madonna’s ability to be able to reinvent herself and her image has meant she has stayed at the top of her game throughout the Noughties and we salute the queen of pop.”

Guy Ritchie has described his ex-wife Madonna as Guy Ritchie has described his ex-wife Madonna as “a perfectly good” screen actress. He also said he doesn’t regret making “Swept Away” with ex-wife Madonna despite the fact it was a box office flop. Even though Swept Away flopped at the cinema and went straight to DVD in the UK - said he wasn’t upset by the critics.

He said: “Swept Away was always going to have a limited audience. The idea was that it was going to be a small film… but you can’t do small films with the ex. If you ask me, I think she’s all right. I think she’s perfectly good. I just don’t think people can get her persona out of the way.”

Madonna's wax likeness at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. The flash of cameras filled Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, as the attraction unveiled Madonna’s wax likeness. The unveiling also marked the release of Madonna’s all-new greatest hits album Celebration, earlier in 2009.

“Madonna is undoubtedly the Queen of Pop, known for her high-energy dancing and singing that has rocked audiences and venues around the world. With the Christmas season fast approaching, our new interactive experience is set to immerse guests in excitement at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong like never before and help them celebrate the holidays with some unbelievable dancing fun,” said Bret Pidgeon, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Miley Cyrus misquoted when putting Angelina Jolie and Madonna down. Miley Cyrus has been accused to have lashed out at Angelina Jolie and Madonna in an interview on an Irish celebrity TV show, saying she “really disagrees” with Jolie and Madonna putting their children in the public eye.

Now that the tabloids have made a big deal out of it, and Miley has recently posted an entry at her official website explaining it is misquoted when putting Angelina Jolie and Madonna down…

“Jolie and Madonna
Ok. I don’t know why people love to misquote me but they do. So when I said “children have no say in the matter” with their pictures being taken I am talking about when psycho paparazzi who follow people around and take pictures of their little ones! It happens with me and Noah all the time! I hate it! It is unfair! The kids don’t choose that life but there is nothing we can do about it. I just think paps shouldn’t be allowed to photograph the kids!”

I NEVER said ANYTHING about Madonna or Jolie doing a photo shoot with their kids! That isn’t taking them to the playground or for a walk and having a bunch of creepy men flash cameras in their face! Kids should be able to go out in to the world and enjoy it and really live in it. Those photographers take a lot away from their childhood! It is unfair and should not be allowed.”

Jesus Luz gave an interview to The New York Times saying Madonna isn’t his Sugar Mama. “I’m laughing so loud,” he said of rumors he had an allowance. “I don’t talk about my girlfriend. Let them come to their own conclusions.”

► Beyonce was given the title of Queen of pop in Rimmel London’s ‘World’s Greatest Popstars’ contest, which had over 100,000 UK fans participating in the poll. Britney Spears came second and Madonna took the fifth place. Oh well…

► According to UK tabloid the Daily Star Madonna and George Clooney reportedly went on a date after her divorce from Guy Ritchie.
Credibility: 0% - Have a look at the 1994 MTV VMAs when Clooney refused to even kiss her on the cheeks when he gave her the Best Female Award and her saying “I guess this is the closest I’ll get to George Clooney”

► There’s a Timbaland & Timberlake version of Madonna’s song “Give it 2 me”. Apparently Warner Music wanted that track on Hard Candy, but Madonna’s camp objected. The song sounds entirely different in rhythm and style as it’s a completely Timbaland produced track, but the lyrics are the same and JT is singing with her almost throughout the full track.

► Website Muzu.tv asked 2.000 fans to vote for their favorite videos of the ending decade, and Madonna’s “Hung Up” came third in the poll after Beyonce (Single Ladies) and Fatboy Slim (Weapon Of Choice).

► The American Rolling Stone interview by Austin Scaggs will be featured on the January 2010 issue of the German edition of the magazine.

Celebration LP has been released. 4 black vinyl LPs in a single sleeve…

Madonna for Dolce & Gabbana When we first learned that Madonna would be fronting Dolce & Gabbana’s new spring ads, we couldn’t wait to see what the pop icon and the Italian designers had up their sleeves. For her latest high-fashion role, the Queen of Pop teamed up with famed photographer Steven Klein to capture a side of the star hardly ever seen: the housewife!

People.com reveals the shoot was inspired by iconic Italian actress Anna Magnani in the 1951 Luchino Visconti film Bellissima, the ad campaign seeks to capture a woman’s human side through the simplicity of daily gestures, according to Dolce & Gabbana. Clad in crocheted tops and dresses, floral skirts and leopard spots from the Italian label, Madonna washes dishes, eats spaghetti with her fingers and chops vegetables.

About having a business relationship with Madonna, Gabbana says…
“We were always afraid it would ruin our relationship. The collection is very Italian, very Sicilian. It’s a return to our roots with a modern angle, so we asked Madonna to interpret it in a different and human way. We believe that people are ready for a new message.”

In one shot, Madonna even appears as a latter-day Magnani, gazing off-camera with tear-smoldered cheeks. “She really cried, she really dipped into the part and took it very seriously,” gushed Gabbana.

About the budget for the campaign, the investment was described by Gabbana as a “serious one.”

The 8 campaign images were shot in black and white in Manhattan and will appear in magazines worldwide at the beginning of January.

Madonna late for the screening of Tom Ford's drama 'A Single Man' at the Museum of Modern Art in New York Madonna was the surprise guest of honor Sunday night at the screening of Tom Ford’s drama “A Single Man” at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. But Madonna walked the carpet solo, posed for photos, and ran into the screening room alone because she was late. And so, the film rolled without her in the audience.

“We were called at 7:30. And then we changed it to 7:45 and we let everyone know. We always intended to start at eight. And we actually started without Madonna,” Ford told USA TODAY Monday. “She came in after the movie had started. She’s a friend of mine and I wasn’t going to hold the film for Madonna. We were not waiting for Madonna.”

Adam Lambert talks about his meeting with Madonna. His first meeting was via Monte Pittman in 2003….this describes his first post-fame encounter (she was much friendlier with him on this go round): Adam Lambert says it was “surreal” meeting Madonna.

“I was at her house in New York. It was intimidating. Her son David answered the door. I thought, ‘This is so surreal’,” Lambert told People magazine. When we talked about singing together, she said, ‘I’m really bossy in the studio. I’ll p*ss you off’. I said, ‘If you p*ss me off, we’d probably make good art’. We bantered, she was cool. [She] told me, ‘Keep your eye on the prize’.”

Madonna on Rolling Stone's 100 best songs of the decade… Madonna on Rolling Stone’s 100 best songs of the decade…

66 | Madonna — “Music”
76 | Madonna — “Hung Up”

With the following comment: Despite all the new pop starlets out there trying to jump her train, Madonna definitely was not slackening the pace. When she dropped “Music,” she was older than Britney and Christina combined, yet she took them to school with vintage electro-boom, Eurodisco flourishes from French producer Mirwais, and her own inimitable sass.

► Rapper Snoop Dogg has revealed that he would love to team up with the likes of Madonna and Rolling Stones, because he wants to experience what it’s like not to be ‘the big one’ on a track.

► Rupert Everett keeps mentioning Madonna in interviews. The last one’s about how his former friend Madonna is dealing with middle age…
“I don’t think she has taken it on board. Well, I suppose she has a 23-year-old boyfriend, and if you have the stamina…Madonna (is a) control freak with a capital C. I don’t know how (she) manages to let a young partner breathe.”

► According to English tabloid The Mirror, Madonna had the GMTV staff terrified during the recent London interviews she gave at the Soho Hotel. It’s already all over the web, but we say it’s 100% bull!
