Madonna is moving back to London for six months this summer while she directs her new movie ‘W.E.’

According to website Screen Daily, Ewan McGregor has joined the cast of Madonna’s upcoming project W.E. to play the part of Edward VIII, but the actor’s rep just denied that fact…

Shakespeare In Love producer David Parfitt is producing with former Miramax executive Colin Vaines. Madonna will direct and is writing the screenplay with her Truth Or Dare director Alek Keshishian.

Spin: I understand you did a Madonna cover…
Sia: Yes, “Oh Father.” I personalized the words to make sense to me.
Spin: Have you met Madonna before?
Sia: Never. But I grew up wearing fingerless gloves because of her. Then one day about three years ago she put one of my songs, a remix of “Breathe Me,” on her iTunes playlist. She said it was a great song to work out to. Then I got excited, because someone who was staying at my house was working for this jeans company and Madonna had asked for a bunch of their jeans. This girl was packaging the jeans at my house, so I slipped a note in one of the boxes for Madonna and said, “Hi, this is Sia. You put my song on your iTunes playlist and I wanted to say thanks. I love you.” And that’s the extent of our relationship.
Spin: Did she find the note?
Sia: I doubt it. But if she tried on the jeans I’ve come pretty close to her bum! [Laughs]

Do you sometimes look back on the old days and the weird 80’s outfits make you laugh?
Whitney: Oh my god, how crazy, but that was the 80’s. I look at myself, I look at Madonna, I look at Prince, I look at Michael, I look at all of us and go… you know… We had costumes. They weren’t scary, they were sometimes sexy. We were performers, performing. Having artistry is one thing, but being dark and just like… you know… different weird stuff, is not becoming at all.

“I really don’t like to compare the artists that I work with, because they are all so unique and so different. One thing for sure is that Gaga is a true artist. She’s really a huge talent, and she’s such a hard worker. That makes me think of Madonna, because Madonna is always such a hard worker, more than anybody else. She’s always very creative. She always goes back to creativity. She has so much politics around and all these stupid rumors and gossip and all that, and some artists manage to stay above that. So in that sense, I’m fine with comparing [Gaga and Madonna], but then again, they’re so different.”

Akerlund said he and Gaga have a long road ahead of them before they can have the relationship he has with the Queen of Pop.

“I also have 12 years with Madonna and I have two videos with Gaga; it’s the future to tell, but I think that Gaga has all the potential and all the tools and all the brain to take her creativity as far she wants to, but she’s great. Madonna was early to be one of those artists who thought more about the concept then just focusing on the one thing. And Gaga — that comes naturally for her. She sees her character and her career, and I’m happy to be part of it … but it’s not me; it’s her. Everything comes from her.”

Gerard Butler has revealed that he took great pleasure in dancing with Madonna at a post-Oscars party earlier this month…

“I was at the Demi Moore and Madonna party, and next to me, Madonna was doing her Madonna dance, which is pretty amazing, and I was trying to dance next to her. She was like, ‘come on, let’s see you dance!’. I said ‘I’m not a bad dancer, but can’t dance against this!’ There were thousands of people there, it was amazing.”

“God… I watched her on the Ref the other night. She had black nails, just like mine. We probably did them the same day. I don’t know when that show was taped, before, later, or whenever, live, it was not live. But I just always thought that she was ahead of herself. She’s…great.”

Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour iTunes version will be released on March 26 and will contain four bonus tracks not featured in the physical CD version: Heartbeat, Borderline, Ray of Light and 4 Minutes.

Lourdes is apparently heavily involved in the whole process which consists in the launch a new line in teen clothing called “Material Girl” in the US this August.
Steve Madden is said to be the designer charged with providing shoes for Madonna’s new “Material Girl” juniors’ collection with Iconix.
The line drops exclusively at Macy’s, and according to reps at Iconix, will rely heavily on shoes, which are cited as a trendy teen favorite.

“I went on the night of the Oscars. Like I said, I was gonna have fun and I went to the Vanity Fair party and then I went to Madonna’s party. I don’t know Madonna, I was like 7 when ‘Like a Virgin’ and all that stuff… I don’t mean to be saying I’m so young… I’m 32, I’m a grown-up, but she was an idol to me. She hit at the age, where I dressed like her, I knew every word to all of her songs, I lip-synched them in my room. But you know, I’ve grown up. Then someone introduced me to her at the party. Kinda let me over to her. She went like this [bows her head], she didn’t say hi, she started dancing with me. Luckily I had taken my shoes off and I kind of like… I was drunk enough that I just kind of danced with her. And I really did for like a minute and a half. Then she was beyond me. Way too good of a dancer and then my girls — two of my girlfriends had come with me — and they kind of like ran over. We were hyperventilating a little. And then I look up the stairs and she’s dancing with my husband (Peter Sarsgaard). And my husband has like his tie undone and he’s completely handling it.”

He says, “I consider myself a married man. I have a family. At my age, my father was married, my mother gave birth to me when she was 15.”
